Intended purpose

The MST-60 Kit is indicated for short or long-term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy including, but not limited to, the administration of fluids, medications and nutrients; the sampling of blood; and for power injection of contrast media.

Functional description

Kit is a radiopaque, polyurethane catheter with Luer lock hub(s, extension tube(s and suture wing capable of power injection. Lumens are differentiated by colored clamps and hubs that indicate lumen size. Max power injection flow rates are indicated on the clamp(s. Kit includes Xcela PICC, Flush Assembly, Obturator Stiffening Wire, Catheter Securement Device, End Cap(s, Safety Introducer Needle, Scalpel, Syringe, Guidewire, Peelable Sheath Dilator, Paper Tape Measure, Standard Introducer Needle.
