PowerPICC SOLO2 Catheter - Catheterization kit, central venous

Intended purpose

The PowerPICC SOLO2 Catheter is intended for short or long term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy, power injection of contrast media, and allows for central venous pressure monitoring. For blood sampling, infusion, or therapy use a 4 French or larger catheter. The maximum recommended infusion rate is 5 ml/sec for power injection of contrast media. For central venous pressure monitoring, it is recommended that a catheter lumen of 20 gauge or larger be used.

Functional description

PowerPICC SOLO2 catheters serve as conduits for fluids and blood into,and out of,the central venous system,and as sources of central venous pressure waveforms for measurement by blood pressure transducers.The catheter valve in the PICC hub controls the flow of fluids to provide clamp-free infusion therapy and allows the catheters to be flushed and maintained with non-heparinized saline solutions.
