Intended purpose

Noninflammatory degenerative joint disease (NIDJD) including but not limited to avascular necrosis, osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis and congenital hip dysplasia and inflammatory joint disease (IJD), e.g. rheumatoid arthritis if bone quality is adequate. -Failed previous surgery where pain, deformity, or dysfunction persists.

Functional description

For use in replacement of the acetabulum in conjunction with a femoral stem and head component in total hip arthroplasty. They are made from Alumina matrix composite ceramic.
