MOVE-C cervical disc prosthesis - Cervical total disc replacement prosthesis

Intended purpose

The MOVE-C cervical disc prosthesis is a prosthesis for the dynamic stabilization of one or two cervical segments (C3-C7) after anterior discectomy has been effected by taking into consideration that the movability of the segment to be treated with the prosthesis is to be maintained at its best for patients with a fully-grown skeletal system. MOVE-C is intended to be used for the following indications: • Discopathy, • Disc hernia with radiculopathy, • Stenosis of the foramen and spinal canal.

Functional description

Delivered mounted on an implant holder & consists of a cranial titanium plate coated with TiNbN on the inner surface & a caudal titanium plate (TiAl6V4) with moulded polymer core out of PCU (Polycarbonate – urethane). The plates have pins on the bone facing surfaces to help primary fixation. Implant holder consists of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone). Flat caudal endplate, domed cranial endplate, formed conically from anterior to posterior. Laterally, the implant has a slightly lordotic form.
