Penditure LAA Exclusion System - Clip, internal, ligating

Intended purpose

The intended purpose of the Penditure LAA Exclusion System is to exclude the left atrial appendage.

Functional description

The Penditure LAA Exclusion System consists of an implantable clip preloaded on a delivery system. When closed, the clip applies pressure to ensure exclusion of the left atrial appendage. The implantable clip consists of two nitinol springs that compress together two opposing PEEK clip bars. The device design allows the clip to be recaptured and repositioned after deployment, so the physician can obtain optimal placement. Post final deployment, the clip remains a permanent implant.
