Intended purpose
The Modulus R Femoral Stem is part of a modular system indicated for use in partial or total hip arthroplasty and is intended for use in partial or total hip arthroplasty for reduction or relief of pain and/or improved hip function in skeletally mature patients with following conditions: non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease such as osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis and hip dysplasia; rheumatoid arthritis; osteoarthritis after femoral heads fractures; correction of functional deformity; revisions in cases of good remaining femoral bone stock and for patients with high levels of dysplasia where a leg shortening is required.
Functional description
The Modulus R femoral stem is made of Titanium Ti6A14V. The external surface of the stem has a macro-roughened finishing and only the tip of the stem is polished. It is coupled with a modulus femoral neck.
