Intended purpose
A tibial component of a tricompartmental rotating platform prosthesis to be used in PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) retaining/sacrificing TKR (Total Knee Replacement) for primary and revision surgery. Main indications: - Primary and secondary arthrosis - Rheumatoid arthritis - Bone necrosis - Revisions, where other devices or treatments have failed
Functional description
Constructed from CoCrMo-powder manufactured alloy with porous surface for osseointegration. Features a non-anatomical shape and a posterior recess to allow retention of the PCL. Contains a central hole designed to receive the central pivot of the mobile bearing platform, allowing rotational motion to occur. To ensure stability the GENUS tibial plate is designed with a delta-shaped tapered keel with the possibility of connecting endomedullary stems of different diameters and sizes.
