Intended purpose

The Cochlear Objective Measures software is intended to be used by hearing professionals both intra- and postoperatively to objectively verify the functioning and placement of a compatible Cochlear implant and the response of the recipient’s auditory system to electrical stimulation by the implant.

Functional description

The Cochlear Objective Measures software is a software application that interfaces with and directs a compatible Cochlear Implant system to deliver an electrical stimulus and to measure the subsequent electrical potentials within the cochlea and auditory nerve in response to the stimulation. The software then uses the signals returned by the sound processor to deliver electrophysiological results to the clinician.
