Cochlear ECochG Measures - Cochlear implant intraoperative electrophysiological analysis software

Intended purpose

Cochlear ECochG Measures is intended to be used during a cochlear implantation surgical procedure to aid in assessing the responses of the recipient’s cochlea and auditory nerve to acoustic stimuli. Cochlear ECochG Measures is also intended to be used post-operatively to assess the recipient’s residual cochlear function.

Functional description

Cochlear™ ECochG Measures interfaces with and directs a compatible sound or surgical processor to deliver acoustic stimulus to the patient's ear canal and measures the subsequent electrical potentials within the cochlea and auditory nerve in response to that acoustic stimulation. The software uses the signals returned by the processor to deliver electrocochleography results to the clinician. Measured responses include the Cochlear Microphonics, Compound Action Potential and Summating Potential.
