Intended purpose

The coil is intended to be used in combination with other devices as part of a hearing implant system to supply electrical signals and power between a processing unit and a hearing implant.

Functional description

The Nucleus 8 Coils transmit data and power from a Nucleus 8 Series Processing Unit to a compatible cochlear implant via a radio frequency link.
