Intended purpose

UHP 3D Plus headpiece is intended to transfer sound signals and power between the Advanced Bionics' cochlear implant and sound processor. The UHP 3D Plus headpiece is intended for use by users who experience retention issues with the standard headpiece or for situations where retention may be difficult, such as in the Operating Room. It is expected to be used with the Extra Large, Max or Plus magnet.

Functional description

The UHP 3D Plus headpiece contains a magnet well designed to accommodate the necessary magnets with appropriate strength to ensure retention between the cochlear implant and the headpiece.
