Biological tissue reconstructive material - OssMem - Collagen dental regeneration membrane

Intended purpose

OssMem is an absorbent material that acts as a barrier between the gingiva and the alveolar bone and induces the regeneration of periodontal tissue. It does not require any secondary treatment for separate removal.

Functional description

OssMem is absorbable barrier membrane using high purity type I collagen. There is no difference to use both front and backside, and it is possible to apply for Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR). Hard-type membrane (OCMH) has a dense structure with low porosity while soft-type membrane (OCMS) has a sponge-type structure with high porosity. Therefore, the hard-type membrane has higher tensile strength and harder physical property than the soft-type membrane.
