Intended purpose

Floseal Hemostatic Matrix(Recothrom) is indicated in surgical procedures (other than in ophthalmic) as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding, ranging from oozing to spurting, by ligature or conventional procedures is ineffective or impractical.

Functional description

Floseal Hemostatic Matrix (Recothrom) is made of biocompatible material and resorbed within 6 to 8 weeks by the body that is applied to a surgical incision, other skin wound, or an internal structure to stop bleeding.
