Intended purpose

A device used for noninvasive treatment of venous disorders. It promotes venous emptying and mimics muscular activity, and is used to apply a counterpressure on a patient's arms or legs and is typically used for the treatment of oedeme in the legs. It has pneumatic stockings with a single chamber. The entire chamber inflates and then deflates, cyclically applying and releasing pressure on the limb.
