Computed radiography storage phosphor screen

Intended purpose

A Fuji CR Imaging Plate is used in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. The Fuji CR imaging plate is a photostimulable device that is stored in a CR cassette. After exposure to radiation, the CR cassette is placed into a Computed Radiography image plate reader system where the imaging plate is removed from the cassette and scanned by a laser. Ultraviolet light is emitted and collected by a light guide to produce a digital image that can then be sent to a PACS, CD/DVD burner or a laser imager.
