Intended purpose
A Contrast injector is an instrument used in medical imaging that injects contrast agents into a patient prior to a scan, when and where required. Injections allow a contrast agent to be injected into the body to improve image quality. Control of the Injection Rate: The pressure injector is capable of administering contrast media (not part of the Injector) at a controlled rate which in turn helps for achieving synchronization of contrast enhancement with the timing of the scan. Adjustable Volume: It permits the clinician to preset the required volume of the contrast agent; this is based on patient size, imaging site, and diagnostic requirements, thereby delivering the volume needed. Monitoring of pressure: The pressure injectors have pressure sensors for monitoring the pressure inside the injection line. Pressure injector is used in conjunction with specific sterile syringes, connecting tubes as consumables which are manufactured by the same manufacturer.
