Intended purpose

These protective covers are medical devices used over imaging probes or instruments to provide a sterile field and minimize cross-contamination during diagnostic imaging or surgical procedures, operating on the body surface, intra-cavity, and intraoperative procedures. Protective covers help prevent transfer of microorganisms, body fluids, and particulate matter to the patient and healthcare provider during procedures using ultrasound transducers/imaging instruments and systems.
