Intended purpose

The implant is used as a component part of a human knee endoprosthesis. Indications: Severe knee joint conditions that cannot be treated through other therapies, Degenerative osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Post traumatic arthritis, Symptomatic knee instability, Knee stiffness, Deformation of the knee joint.

Functional description

The Columbus CR DD gliding surface is used in combination with the Columbus CR femoral component and the Columbus CR/PS or CRA/PSA tibial plateau. The gliding surface is intended to use in patients with stable ligamentary apparatus, including an intact posterior cruciate ligament. The Columbus CR DD gliding surface corresponds to the selected tibial plateau size. The PCL-retaining design, fixed gliding surface is characterized by a deep concavity in the sagittal plane. Made from UHMWPE.
