Intended purpose

The implant is used as a component part of a human knee endoprosthesis. Indications: Severe knee joint conditions that cannot be treated through other therapies, Degenerative osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Post traumatic arthritis, Symptomatic knee instability, Knee stiffness, Deformation of the knee joint

Functional description

The UHMWPE Columbus UC fixed gliding surface is used in combination with the Columbus CR femoral component and the Columbus CR/PS or CRA/PSA tibial plateau.The PCL sacrificing gliding surface corresponds to the selected tibial plateau size and is intended to use in patients with stable ligamentary apparatus.The design is characterised by a deep concavity in the sagittal plane with a ventrally elevated edge offering stability in the AP plane when resecting the PCL without femoral bone loss.
