Intended purpose

A unit that applies a gaseous or liquid refrigerant to withdraw heat from target tissue either through direct application of cryogen or indirectly through contact with a cryogen-cooled probe. This unit is typically used in general surgical procedures, e.g. dermatology, oral surgery, gynaecology, urology, otolaryngology or proctology.
