Intended purpose
Geistlich Bio-Oss Flow is intended to be used in the treatment of hard tissue defects in oral surgery. Geistlich Bio-Oss Flow is indicated in the bone deficiencies in the alveolar ridge.
Functional description
Collagen facilitates handling & acts to apply the bovine bone mineral at the defect site. The consistency of the material allows it to take the shape of the defect. The collagen is resorbed within several weeks. Supports in-growth of new bone at the implant site as a scaffold for osteoblasts; over time it is subject to physiological remodelling. The mineral phase is slowly resorbable, depending on the physiological environment of the individual patient, or integrated into the host bone.
