Intended purpose

These are intraoral sensors that are temporarily placed in the mouth of a patient during a routine diagnostic dental imaging procedure. These devices record the absorption pattern of x-ray beams used in diagnostic treatment. The images from the sensors are transmitted to a monitor or work station.
