Intended purpose

High-speed handpieces (turbines, max. 250,000 – max. 420,000 min-1): drives for rotating instruments for the removal of carious material, for the preparation of cavities and crowns and for the removal of fillings. Straight handpieces (slowly rotating, max. 40,000 min-1): drives for rotating instruments for use in the preparation of dentures and for polishing tooth and restoration surfaces outside of the oral cavity. Contra-angle handpieces (slowly rotating, 2,703 – 40,000 min-1): drives for rotating instruments for polishing teeth and dentures and for preparing cavities. Contra-angle handpieces (up to 200,000 min-1): drives for rotating instruments for the removal of carious material, the preparation of cavities and crowns and the removal of fillings.
