Intended purpose

Serves as a connector between the implant and its final restoration. (Abutment device refers to the fixture that is assembled on the implant. The crown is then built on the abutment.) Ball attachments are indicated for removable (overdenture) restorations. The attachments are directly connected to the endosseous dental implant by their lower threaded part.
