Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft with the Captivia Delivery System - Descending thoracic aorta endovascular stent-graft

Intended purpose

The Valiant thoracic stent graft with the Captivia delivery system is intended to be used in patients who require endovascular repair of the descending thoracic aorta (DTA). The device is intended for use in patients who are candidates for conventional surgical repair, and in patients who are not candidates for conventional surgical repair due to preexisting risk factors.

Functional description

The Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft with the Captivia Delivery System consists of the following components - The Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft and the Captivia Delivery System. The Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft is pre-loaded into the Captivia Delivery System. The loaded delivery system accommodates a 0.89 mm guidewire and is inserted endoluminally via the femoral or iliac artery and tracked through the patient's vasculature to deliver the stent to the target site.
