Intended purpose

Intended for the use of distending the peritoneal cavity by filling the cavity with a gas to facilitate viewing the internal organs with a laparoscope. This will also assist in providing the operator with more room in which to carry out an intervention. Other surgical instruments may be introduced through other sites.
