Intended purpose

A device that is dedicated for the use of distending a body cavity (eg. abdomen, thorax, rectum, colon) in adult and paediatric (greater than 20kg) diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, providing a gas-filled space (eg. carbon dioxide) to facilitate viewing of the internal organs, providing a path of entry for surgical instruments and for the evacuation of surgical smoke.
