Intended purpose

Aquacel Ag+ Enhanced Hydrofiber Ribbon Dressing with Silver and Strengthening Fibre have been designed to be used as a primary dressing for cavity wounds. They are intended to be used under the direction of a healthcare professional for wounds which are at risk of infection or show signs of infection, and in accordance with the indications for use.

Functional description

AQUACEL Ag+ Enhanced Hydrofiber Ribbon Dressing with Silver and Strengthening Fibre absorbs high amounts of wound fluid and bacteria, and creates a soft, cohesive gel that intimately conforms to the wound surface, maintains a moist environment and aids the removal of non-viable tissue from the wound. The dressing itself also provides an antimicrobial barrier to protect the wound bed.
