Intended purpose

Aquacel Ag Foam dressings have been designed to be used as a primary dressing. Aquacel Ag Foam dressings may be used with the direction of a healthcare professional, for the management of exuding acute and chronic wounds which are at risk of infection or show signs of infection.

Functional description

Aquacel Ag Foam (adhesive) dressings are sterile Hydrofiber foam wound dressings, consisting of the following layers bound together with an adhesive melt layer: - a water proof outer polyurethene film; - a polyurethane foam layer, - a Hydrofiber layer (sodium carboxymethylcellulose) impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver.
