Intended purpose

Aquacel Ag Foam dressings have been designed to be used as a primary dressing. Aquacel Ag Foam dressings may be used with the direction of a healthcare professional, for the management of exuding acute and chronic wounds which are at risk of infection or show signs of infection.

Functional description

Aquacel Ag Foam (non-adhesive) dressings are sterile Hydrofiber foam wound dressings, consisting of the following layers bound together with an adhesive melt layer: - a water proof outer polyurethene film; - a polyurethane foam layer, - a Hydrofiber layer (sodium carboxymethylcellulose) impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver.
