Intended purpose
IODOSORB Powder is indicated for the topical treatment of chronic exuding wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure injuries. IODOSORB Powder can be used under compression therapy. IODOSORB Powder may be used on infected wounds.
Functional description
IODOSORB Powder is a sterile dark brown powder consisting of cadexomer (modified starch microbeads) with iodine. The cadexomer beads are biodegradable. IODOSORB Powder will absorb excess exudate and slough from the wound bed, and kill bacteria at the wound surface. In doing this, it transforms into a soft moist gel.
