Intended purpose

The macro-micro depth electrodes are intended for use with recording, monitoring and stimulation equipment for the recording, monitoring and stimulation of electrical signals at the subsurface level of the brain.

Functional description

Intended for simultaneous macro and micro contact recordings. It consists of 8-contact macro recording outer body with 8-contact micro recording inner wire bundle. Each electrode set is provided as a matched set and should not be separated or mixed with other matched sets. In addition, each electrode requires the TECH-ATTACH or wire bundle cable. A special, slotted connector block that connects the macro contacts to the TECH-ATTACH cable is included with each BF-series electrode.
