Cranial EM - Electromagnetic device tracking system

Intended purpose

The Cranial EM system is intended to be an intra-operative image guided localization system to enable minimally invasive surgery for cranial procedures. It links a freehand probe, tracked by an electromagnetic sensor system to a virtual computer image space on a patient’s image data being processed by the navigation workstation.
