Electromechanical orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave therapy system

Intended purpose

Treatment is by means of ballistic radial pressure waves, generated from electromagnetic hammer applicator. A magnetic field accelerates the projectile, which causes the tip applicator to move. Radial pressure waves(in technical terms, this wave is not a shockwave and not a radio wave)show a lower peak pressure and considerably longer rise time. Their energy is highest at skin level and decreases rapidly. It is used in the treatment of orthapaedic pain and in the muscles,joints and tendons.
