ViaCath 20/XL/2-8-2 mm - Electrophysiology cardiac catheter, single-use

Device Dossier for ViaCath 20/XL/2-8-2 mm - Electrophysiology cardiac catheter, single-use (Electrophysiology cardiac catheter, single-use, Class III,…

Intended purpose

The ViaCath catheters are a temporary, multipolar catheter for sensing of intracardiac signals and diagnostic pacing. It is intended for use in combination with electrophysiology investigation and recording devices during an electrophysiology study (EPS) or catheter ablation procedure

Functional description

ViaCath is a steerable catheter for sensing of intracardiac signals & endocardial stimulation. Used with a programmed stimulator & an electrophysiological measuring system they are suited for functional diagnostics of the cardiac conduction system. The Pt-Ir electrodes guarantee smallest possible transition resistances & excellent electrical properties for the intracardiac signals as well as for the stimulation pulses. The cath combines optimal placement accuracy, stiffness & flexibility.
