Intended purpose
An electrode designed for transcervical resection, vaporization, ablation, cutting and coagulation of soft tissues/structures typically during gynaecological procedures. It is a long thin device that is inserted through the working channel of a compatible resectoscope and is connected to a high-frequency (HF) generator which supplies the energy that is transmitted to the distal end of the device.
