Intended purpose

Tegaderm Alginate dressing is intended for use as a primary wound dressing for providing a moist wound healing environment for moderate to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds. As the dressings contain calcium they can also be used to control minor bleeding in superficial wounds. Indications are as follows Pressure ulcers, venous and arterial leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, cavity wounds, lacerations, skin abrasions, graft and donor sites, post operative surgical wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns, excluding for use on full thickness burns.
