Exudate-absorbent dressing, hydrophilic-gel

Intended purpose

The exudate absorbent dressing is a sterile, gelling fiber dressing, made from carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). The non-woven gelling fibers absorb exudate from the wound, turning them into a soft gel which maintains a moist wound healing environment. Suitable for use on moderate exuding wounds (chronic or acute) such as: • Leg ulcers • Pressure ulcers • Diabetic foot ulcers • Surgical wounds • Donor sites • Cavity wounds • Superficial and partial thickness burns • Trauma wounds • Oncology wounds • Control minor bleeding in superficial wounds The dressing is suitable for use under compression bandaging.
