Intended purpose

The disposable anaesthetic filters are used in surgical procedures which require the use of inhalation anaesthetics. They provide viral and bacterial protection to the patient. The disposable heat moisture exchange has the same features as the anaesthtetic filters except with the addition of HME media which protects the electrostatic filter from moisture and provides a mechanism for returning warm moist air back to the patient. This filter is used in major surgery.
