Intended purpose
A suture anchor intended for the reattachment of soft tissue to bone for shoulder repairs: capsular stabilization including bankart repair, anterior shoulder instability and SLAP lesion repairs.
Functional description
An absorbable PLLA/HA (poly l-lactide/hydroxyapatite) suture anchor with one attached non-absorbable braided uncoated UHMW polyethylene with polypropylene monofilament suture preloaded onto a disposable insertion device. The anchor is inserted into bone by pushing or tapping into a pre-drilled site.
