Intended purpose
To secure a bone fixation device such as a plate or rod to the spine in the treatment of spinal degenerative pathologies. The washer is used to fill gaps that might develop between the top of the bottom nut and the bottom surface of the plate, which provides superior apposition to the plate or rod when a difference in screw height is apparent.
