Intended purpose

The NO-A is a microprocessor-controlled therapy/dosing device. Nitrogen Monoxide is used as therapy gas. It is important that the inhalation therapy gas is added to the nitrogen carrier gas. Tanks with concentrations of 50 - 1000 ppm may be connected. During therapy gas is dosed into the inspiratory branch of a respirator. The dose depends on the respiratory volume. Dispensed concentrations are between 0 and 99.9 ppm. The therapy device is equipped with two bottle connectors, with one being used as reserve, since therapy may not be stopped abruptly. The sources (gas tanks) should provide a minimum pressure of 3 bars and a minimum flow rate of approx. 17 l/min.
