Intended purpose

3M Ioban 2 Antimicrobial Incise Drape is indicated for use as an incise drape with continuous antimicrobial activity. It is intended for external use only.

Functional description

The surgical drape is made from Ioban 2 antimicrobial film which has iodine impregnated into the adhesive. The drape is positioned on the patient to cover the prepped surgical site. It adheres securely to the skin, reducing the risk of drape lift and used to provide continuous broad spectrum antimicrobial protection and a sterile operative surface. Ioban drapes are intended to affect the reduction of skin flora & supress the recolonisation of the skin with micro-organisms during surgery.
