Intended purpose
The XEN Gel Implant is intended to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with primary open angle glaucoma where previous medical treatments have failed.
Functional description
Relieves elevated intraocular pressure by creating a permanent channel from the anterior chamber to the subconjunctival space; this channel creates an outflow pathway for aqueous humor.
