Intended purpose
These stainless steel protectors are attached to the dental handpiece with the diamond disc for use during dental surgery. When the FRIOS diamond disc and the FRIOS MicroSaw protector are both connected to the FRIOS Handpiece the assembled device is the ?MicroSaw?. In the patient, the MicroSaw Protector protects the surrounding soft tissue from injury when the MicroSaw is in use for harvesting of bone blocks and bone flaps. The MicroSaw Protector is also designed to limit the cutting depth of the MicroSaw diamond disc.
