Intended purpose

PRO-PRP platelet separation device is a point of care device used for the safe and rapid preparation of autologous platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) from a small sample of venous blood. Once the venous blood has been introduced into the device under aseptic technique, the device is placed in a centrifuge to optimise platelet concentration within the plasma, from the whole blood sample. The PRP is then withdrawn under aseptic technique and injected into or applied to the target area by a medical practitioner to assist regeneration of soft tissues and wound-healing.
