Intended purpose
A device worn in the outer ear and/or ear canal, designed to compensate for either hearing loss, perceived tinnitus or a combination of both, that transmits an amplified acoustic signal to the ear drum. The device is typically programmed by a computer or other intermediary device or system and utilises certain hardware and software programs for programming and adjustment.
