Intended purpose

A device that can be placed in the patient's inspiratory line (typically leading from the outlet of a critical care ventilator) to increase the humidity and temperature of the gas flow into the lungs by providing in-line heated water vapour. This device is used when the natural humidification process is bypassed by the physician during intubation and when used in other ventilation interfaces. The device can be used on neonates, newborn & paediatric patients and can be used in wards, transport & all critical care areas.
