Intended purpose

The percutaneous leads are intended to be used with spinal cord stimulation systems by connecting to a neurostimulation receiver or an implantable pulse generator, either directly or via a compatible lead extension.

Functional description

The percutaneous leads are designed to be used as part of a neurostimulation system for spinal cord stimulation (SCS). SCS uses low intensity electrical impulses to stimulate nerve fibres within the spinal cord that often inhibit chronic pain messages from reaching the brain.
