Sperm Preparation Medium - In vitro fertilization culture medium

Intended purpose

For sperm washing and isolation of motile viable spermatozoa by the swim-up method as part of assisted reproductive techniques.

Functional description

Used to wash and prepare sperm prior to ICSI whilst also providing a medium to minimise exposure of the sperm to non-physiological conditions. Used to remove the seminal plasma, dead spermatozoa and other cells, and select the best spermatozoa based on motility, ideally selecting only live sperm.
